Another driecht day at Livingston brought the birds to Chez Walter’s Feeders of finest seeds and fattest fat balls. The Starling had a mix-up on their table reservations and a unrully incident did occur – this was sorted out by the patrolling cat squad duty member. Of course this did upset the other diners who took to wing very quickly. Among the visiting dignitaries were: Robin (Erithacus rebecla), Pied Wagtail (Motacilla alba) and Goldfinch (Carduelis caeduelis). Alas they proved to be extremely
camera-shy and refused point-blank to have their photo taken. Among the well-behaved diners were a family group of Siskin (Carduelis spinus). The elder had previously dined at our establishment and was so impressed with the Al La Carte Menu options brought the family. It was with concern we noticed one rather timid guest who had apparently not made a reservation. One will have to keep an eye on this timid guest Dunnock (Prunella modularis) and ensure we have a tasty enticing meal for him/her.
We are proud to advertise our feeders have been voted as the most popular feeders in the local area. This accolade came from two long time customers, who are very frequent guests of the feeder.
Namely Coal Tit (Parus ater) and my personal favourite guest Blue Tit (Parus caeruleus)
